North Augusta, SC—Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Jackson Allen, 89, who entered into rest January 6, 2022, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Andrew Kornreich officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. She graduated from Tubman High School in 1950 and retired from Lily Tulip Cup Company. Mrs. Allen enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping, fishing, and traveling. She will always be remembered as having a positive outlook on life, her generosity for others and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Allen and her parents, John Roger Jackson and Ruth Belle Usry; three sisters, Joyce Jackson, Vermel Nunn and Judith Faye Lask; and her son-in-law, Mark H. Person. The family would like to express their appreciation to Encompass Hospice and to the Circle of Love for the special care they provided to Mrs. Allen during her illness. Survivors include three daughters, Becky Jayne Rogers, Augusta, GA, Sharon Renee (Kirk) Lenzie, Aurora, CO, and Camille M. Person, North Augusta, SC; one stepson, John C. (Elese) Allen, Ackworth, GA; one stepdaughter, Janet A. Smallman, Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Mark) Keilholtz, Julie Buird, Aimee Smith, Kara Powell, Robert (Susan) Hartleben, Sara Lenzie, Christopher Allen and Katelyn Allen; ten great-grandchildren, Kevin Wall, Dylan Smith, Madalyn Keilholtz, Margaret Keilholtz, Shelby Smith, Olivia Buird, Cannon Powell, Jaylyn Hartleben, Windham Powell and Brighton Powell; one great-greatgrandchild, Milo Wall; several nieces and nephews.
