North Augusta, SC – Graveside Services for Mrs. Darlene Baldy, 82, who entered into rest January 20, 2021, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Jackson Memorial Park, Rev. Brian Henderson, Rev. Matthew Roberts and Donny McIver officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Posey Funeral Directors’ Facebook page. Those in attendance are required to wear a mask and social distancing will be practiced. Mrs. Baldy was a native of Orlando, Florida having made Jackson, SC her home for the past 58 years. She was an alumna of Florida State University and an avid Seminoles fan. Mrs. Baldy retired from a teaching career and was a member of the South Carolina Education Association. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Jackson and a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. Mrs. Baldy will be remembered for her sassy attitude. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Ida Brown and husband, Benjamin Steve Baldy. Survivors include her sons, Steve (Pam) Baldy, Philip Baldy, Paul (Angie) Baldy and Michael (Lyndi) Baldy; five grandchildren, Drew (April) Baldy, Zachary (Leann) Baldy, Walker (Felicia Dismore-Baldy) Baldy, John-Michael Baldy and Jesse Baldy; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Pete (Priscilla) Brown, Jr. and Stan (Ginny) Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Smith, Mark Ellis, Freddy Gieger, Furman Fowler, Brian Smith and Kyle Waters.
