Dean R. Rupnow

August 10, 1942 - April 22, 2022

North Augusta, SC—Mr. Dean R. Rupnow, 79, entered into rest April 22, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Dean was a native of Whitewater, WI, having made North Augusta his home for the past 16 years. He began his working career in electronics and worked his way up to plant manager. Dean and Ann spent five years in South Wisconsin, and then ventured to Northern Wisconsin where they purchased a sport shop/gas station. After six years in the northwoods, they returned to Southern Wisconsin where he acquired a managerial position in the textile industry. He and Ann both retired early and began living "the good life" with a summer home in Wisconsin, and the other nine months residing in South Carolina, with both homes being on a golf course. Dean was a former member of the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, sporting clay shooting and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was the son of the late Merlin and Irene Rupnow. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ann Rupnow, a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jana Rupnow, Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Caden Rupnow and Jade Rupnow.
