Eva Benson

Trenton, SC—Graveside Services for Mrs. Eva Benson, 91, who entered into rest February 20, 2022, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock in Sunset Hill Cemetery with her son-in-law, Mr. Gregory Schlachter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8. Mrs. Benson was a native of Augusta, GA, a former resident of Jackson, SC, having made Trenton her home for the past 13 years. She was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating and in her spare time she enjoyed listening to Big Band music, fishing, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Benson was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Benson; her parents, James Russell Faulkner, and Julia Frances Callahan; two brothers and five sisters. Survivors include three sons, Ray Benson, Harlem, GA, Johnny (Jan) Pollock, Harlem, GA and Tommy (Miriam) Benson, Graniteville, SC; five daughters, Judy (Rocky) Mason, Clark Hill, SC, Debbie (Walt) Burroughs, Lincolnton, GA, Eva (Greg) Schlachter, Trenton, SC, Rita Mahmood, Augusta, GA, and Mary Stacy, North Augusta, SC; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
