North Augusta, SC – Funeral Services for Ms. Faith Thompson, 43, who entered into rest June 30, 2021, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry DeWolfee officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Posey Funeral Directors website. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 until 7 o’clock. Ms. Thompson was a lifelong resident of North Augusta and a member of River of Life Church in Aiken, where she enjoyed mentoring youth of all ages. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and was a History and Social Studies teacher at Schofield Middle School. Ms. Thompson will be fondly remembered for her love of horses, her appreciation for music and the joy she took in playing the piano and flute. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert A. Thompson, Jr. Survivors include her mother, Nancy G. Thompson; a sister, Melanie (Larry) DeWolfee; a brother, Robert A. (Beth) Thompson, III; nieces and nephew, Carolyn (Travis) McIntosh, Naomi (Daryl) Robinson, Jami Rhine, Christina Thompson, Samuel Rhine, Caroline Thompson; and multiple great-nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Thayne Taylor, Mike Lindsey, Aaron Knowles, Alex Robinson, Jacob Robinson and Daniel Ellison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ms. Thompson’s former students. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Cancer Institute, The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, tischbraintumorcenter.duke.edu Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta is in charge of arrangements (803)278-1181.
