Karolyn F. W. Zippler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

North Augusta, SC—Mrs. Karolyn F. W. Zippler, 97, entered into rest May 9, 2022. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Zippler was a native of Fall River, MA, having made North Augusta her home for the past 70 years. For many years, she was an active member of St. John United Methodist Church, in Augusta, GA, the United Methodist Women and she received five life memberships. Three from the St. John Unit and two from the Augusta District. Mrs. Zippler served on the official board at St. John and was a member of the John Minter Sunday School Class and served on the board of the Bethlehem Center. Later she became a member of Grace United Methodist Church, North Augusta, SC, and was an active member of the Stillwell Bible Class. Mrs. Zippler was a member of the North Augusta Women’s Club, North Augusta S.A.L.T. Program, Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta and the Living History Park. Prior to her husband’s death, Mr. and Mrs. Zippler donated the clock on the North Augusta Municipal Building to welcome all to the city of North Augusta. Mrs. Zippler was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Donald Bowman Zippler; her parents, Rev. Arthur Horrocks Wilde, and Alena Vivian Burdick Wilde; her brother, Arthur Wilde, Jr.; her sister, Ruth V. Feltus. Survivors include her three sons, Calvin A. (Kathy) Zippler, Aiken, SC, W. Blaine (Elizabeth) Zippler, Lancaster, VA, and Howard S. (Wanda) Zippler, North Augusta, SC; three grandchildren, Emily Zippler Paradise, Jennifer Zippler (Matt) Lyman and Nyssa Zippler; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Paradise and Oakley William Lyman.
