Marilyn Jean Bogan Neikirk Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

North Augusta, SC—Memorial Services for Mrs. Marilyn Jean Bogan Neikirk, 82, who entered into rest July 24, 2022, will be conducted Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 11 o’clock at Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus, OH. Wise Funeral Home, 129 West Warren Street, Bucyrus, OH 44820, in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Neikirk was born and raised in North Robinson, OH. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1962 and afterward married the love of her life, Charles Freeman Neikirk. They initially lived in Lanham Maryland and eventually settled in Eastern Virginia. Charles and Marilyn moved to North Augusta, SC in 2020. Mrs. Neikirk worked as an elementary school teacher in Maryland as an aid at the Peninsula Montessori School in Newport News, VA. She enjoyed golfing, boating, and traveling with her husband. She was a member of Norfolk Baptist Church, Norfolk, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Layton Bogan and Lois Crissinger Bogan; her sister, Joyce Bogan Kuehne, and her husband of 58 years, Charles “Chuck” Freeman Neikirk. Survivors include two sons, Kipp Neikirk and David (Tracey) Neikirk; three grandchildren, Sophia Neikirk (Garrett) Collins, Charles L. Neikirk, and Alexandra Neikirk.
