Peggy Franklin Brinkley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jackson, SC – Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Franklin Brinkley, 93, who entered into rest June 22, 2022, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from First Baptist Church of Jackson, Rev. Brian Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Brinkley was born December 9, 1928, in Ellenton, SC to the late Glynn and Celestine Franklin. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Jackson where she was a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class. Mrs. Brinkley and her husband owned and operated Brinkley’s Red and White for many years. She was an artist and especially loved painting, each or her children and grandchildren have an original work. Mrs. Brinkley enjoyed traveling, but most of all she enjoyed time spent talking and laughing with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marion F. Brinkley, Sr.; brothers, Donald Franklin and John Franklin. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Servy (Edouard), Ida Sue Hardy (Allen) and Lisa Lumpkin (Timothy); son, Marion F. Brinkley, Jr. (Susan); ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Glynn, Claire, Alexis, Tracy, David, Jessica, Adam, Brian and Rachel; 20 great-grandchildren, Alexander, Milan, Rowan, Henri, Louis, Sheridan, Danielle, Ethan, Eric, Kacy, Landon, Ledger, Lilybrooke, Jackson, Luke, Max, Abigail, Addison, Blake and Grayson. Pallbearers will be Adam Brinkley, David Hardy, Alexis Servy, Glynn Servy, Landon Johnson, Alexander Gajic and Ethan Hardy. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jackson, 400 3rd Street, Jackson, SC 29831.
