Aiken, SC – Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Renee Scott, 65, who entered into rest November 25, 2021, will be conducted Saturday morning December 4, 2021, at 11 o'clock from the Historic First Baptist Church of Beech Island. Rev. Dr. Andrew Menger and Rev. Greg Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family respectfully encourages those in attendance to wear a mask and socially distance where possible. Mrs. Scott was born April 25, 1956, in Augusta, GA to the late Wallace “Red” and Peggy Gallups Brazier. She graduated from North Augusta High School in 1973. Mrs. Scott was a member of Historic First Baptist Church of Beech Island, where she was church musician for nearly 30 years. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years at both Aiken Regional Medical Center and University Hospital. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Warren Scott. They would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on Nov. 27th of this year. Mrs. Scott’s favorite things included vacations at the beach and playing the piano at her church where she also taught Sunday school and lead the senior adult group throughout the years. Survivors include her son. Ben (Kristen) Skinner. Pallbearers will be Sean Davis, Joe Morris, Tyrone Williams, Wally Coward, Jeremey Maney and Trevor Jordan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKinnon Music Fund at Historic First Baptist Church of Beech Island, 170 Church Road, Beech Island, SC 29842.
