Ray V. “Sonny” Browder, Jr. North Augusta, SC – Private family only funeral services for Mr. Ray V. “Sonny” Browder, Jr., 84, of Partridge Lane, who entered into rest December 12, 2020, will be conducted in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Private family only graveside services will be conducted in St. Andrews Cemetery, Darien, GA with Veteran Honors. For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed live Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock on the Posey Funeral Directors Facebook page. Mr. Browder was born in Brunswick, GA and was the son of the late Ray and Gladys Coleman Browder. He was a retired Supervisor with DSM Chemical, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and a longtime member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. Mr. Browder was an avid Clemson fan, golfer, hunter and fisherman. He loved to talk history and his time overseas. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Georganne Browder; three sons, Allen (Rita) Boudet, Berto (Kim) Boudet, Marcel (Deb) Boudet; three daughters, Deidra (Joe) Chandler, Jeri Austin, Staci (Tony) Britt; a brother, Charles Edward (Missy) Browder; eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and many other loving family members Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Britt, Bryan Austin, Emory O’Quinn, Ralph O’Quinn, Craig O’Quinn and Joey Chandler. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Ray’s caregivers for their love and support: The Circle of Love (Shelia, Sara, Becky and Ashley), Denise, Janice, Vickey and the staff of Encompass Hospice.
