Mrs. Ivaree W. Stacey Knoxville, TN—Funeral Services for Mrs. Ivaree Ward Stacey, 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee, who died January 24, 2006, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o’clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Interment in Southlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Stacey was born on June 26, 1916 in Rutherford County, North Carolina to the late Gordon and Cora Ward. She and her late husband, Wayne made their home in New Ellenton for 50 years where she operated a Day Care. She bequeathed her home in New Ellenton to her great granddaughter, Maranda Carter-Davidson and moved to North Augusta where she made her home with her oldest daughter, Gail Shaw-Butler and her husband, Miller, having recently made her home in Knoxville, TN with her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Homer Walton. Mrs. Stacey cared for children in her home for many years. Some of whom are now Professionals and have kept her abreast of their family and professional life. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as their friend’s grandchildren all affectionately call her “Memaw”. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Miller Butler, North Augusta, Jane and Homer Walton, Knoxville, TN, Lynn and Charles Jeancake, New Ellenton and Cindy and Charles McGahee, North Augusta; a sister, Judy Ferguson, Gastonia, NC; ten grandchildren, Randy Shaw and Richard Shaw, Macon, GA, Kara Carter, New Ellenton, Charles Matthews, Humble, TX, Scott Matthews, Jacksonville, FL, Cathy Frye, Blountville, TN, Casey Jeancake, Aiken, Chris Jeancake, Savannah, Michelle Crabtree, Mt. Pleasant, SC and Jennifer Alston, Houma, LA; sixteen great grandchildren, Dillon Shaw, Danielle Shaw, Chelsie Shaw, Abbigale Shaw, Caroline Shaw, Maranda Davidson, Brittany Carter Lynn, Caleb Carter, Connor Matthews, Paul Matthews, Stacy Matthews, Kelly Matthews, Eric Frye, Edward Frye, Anna Sophia Jeancake and Bailey Lee; two great-great grandchildren, Hunter Davidson and Jessa Davidson. Pallbearers will be Miller Butler, Homer Walton, Charles Jeancake, Charles McGahee, Randy Shaw and Richard Shaw. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening from 6 to 8.
