Jane T. Scott

North Augusta, SC—Funeral Services for Mrs. Jane T. Scott, 73, who entered in rest November 3, 2022, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Sweetwater Baptist Church. Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Scott was a native of York, SC, and a long-time resident of North Augusta. She was a graduate of North Augusta High School Class of 1967. She attended Lander College, and Augusta College, and graduated from the University Hospital School of X-ray Technology. Jane was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, a Real Estate Agent for Meybohm Realty, a Patient Representative for many years at University Hospital, and a volunteer at the Surgery Waiting Desk for many years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta where she served on the finance committee. Jane was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church where she was a member of the Burma Barker Sunday School Class. Jane wanted her class to know how grateful she was for all the many nice things they did for her during her long cancer fight. She loved to read a good book, shop, decorate, spend time at the beach and the mountains, especially at The Grove Park Inn in Ashville, and more than anything Jane loved spending time with her family and especially cherished her two granddaughters. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Clara Thomasson, a stepson, William Scott, Jr., and a brother-in-law Jim Scott. Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Bill Scott; a daughter, Amy (Patrick) Stinson, Lexington, SC; two granddaughters, Brittany Stinson and Katelyn Stinson; a step-daughter, Anne McKenney, North Augusta; two step-grandchildren, Brett (Kelley) McKenney and Chris (Elizabeth) McKenney; two great step-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Bud (Sandy) Scott, Laguna Niguel, CA and Bob (Sherry) Scott, Taylors, SC; sister-in-law, Anne Scott, Greer, SC; two aunts, Harriett Covington, Mebane, NC, and Annie Bigham, Florence, SC; and a special friend from childhood, Donna Byrd Sherman. Pallbearers will be Mike Plummer, Gary Shaw, Don Bridges, Harry Truesdale, Ev Kauffman and Rocky McKie. The family would like to express appreciation to the wonderful people of Regency Southern Care Hospice, especially Renee Poharski, a nurse who became a dear friend.
