Jeanette Boatright Miller

North Augusta, SC—A Private Graveside Service for Mrs. Jeanette Boatright Miller, age 88, who entered into rest January 15, 2021 will be conducted in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mr. Zachary Anderson, Minister of Worship, First Baptist Church of North Augusta officiating. The service will be live streamed on the Posey Funeral Directors facebook page as well as recorded for later viewing. Mrs. Miller was born on November 2, 1932 in Washington County and lived in Kite, Georgia. She was a 1950 graduate of Swainsboro High School where she played softball and sang in quartets. After moving to Augusta, Georgia in 1951, she graduated from Draughon’s Business College. In 1952, she was one of the first employees of DuPont with badge number 56. While working at DuPont as a receptionist, Jeanette caught the eye of young Robert G. Miller when he was applying for employment himself. They were married on January 21, 1956. She retired from DuPont after 18 years of service. In 1962, she co-founded Miller Printing Co., Inc. where she worked until her retirement in 2007. Mrs. Miller loved the Lord and loved to sing hymns. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia where she worked in the nursery and taught children’s Sunday school. She transferred to First Baptist Church of North Augusta where she was a member of the Joy All Together Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert "Bob" G. Miller; a son, Robert “Bobby” G. Miller, Jr. (Pam) Miller, North Augusta, SC; daughters, Karen (Curt) Steinhart, Edmond, OK, and Cindy McNeill, North Augusta, SC; grandchildren Austin (Macaylan) McNeill, San Jose, CA; Alexis Steinhart, Oklahoma City, OK; Dylan McNeill, Belleville, MI; and Nolan Steinhart, Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandsons, Kashton McNeill and Chance McNeill. Sisters, Evelyn Lord, Augusta, GA, Thelma Williams, Augusta, GA, Betty Coleman, Augusta, GA, and Vinnie Lou McNure, Wrightsville, GA. Brothers, Glynn (Lillian) Boatright, Dublin, GA; Phillip (Jennie) Boatright, Wrightsville, GA; Sister-in-law, Joy Boatright, Pembroke, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, James Orbia and Louella Jones Boatright; sister, Faye Brantley; brother, Billy Boatright; brother-in-laws, Ralph Lord, Luke Williams, Edwin Coleman, Russell McNure, and Grady Brantley; Mother-in-law, Maggie Miller; brother and sister-in-laws, Vivian and Jimmy Roberts, Lavese and Tommy Newton, Cecil and Ruby Miller, Hazel Miller, James "Buddy" Miller; nieces, Janney Miller, Tiernie Regan; nephew, Allen Lord; and her beloved son-in-law, Tim McNeill. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Sams, Dr. Janis Coffin, Dr. Ruth-Marie “Rhee” Fincher, the late Dr. Julia Hendrich, Augusta University Family Medicine, The Georgia Cancer Center, Professional Case Management, and Alliance Hospice for their compassionate care through the years.
