Kathleen L. Chadwick

North Augusta, SC – The Memorial Mass for Mrs. Kathleen L. Chadwick, 72, who entered into rest August 15, 2021, will be conducted Saturday morning, August 28, 2021, at 10 o’clock at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father Richard Wilson Celebrant. Inurnment will immediately follow in the church columbarium. Veteran Honors will be accorded. Mrs. Chadwick was born in Philadelphia, PA, was a former resident of Tulsa, OK, having made North Augusta, SC her home for the past 20 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, where she thoroughly enjoyed fellowship in her small faith group. Mrs. Chadwick adored her pets and loved all animals, extending that love through her volunteer efforts at the Tulsa Zoo. She was a veteran, having served as a U.S. Army nurse and later retired as a registered nurse with 17 years of service. Following retirement, she found much joy in volunteering her time and talents with Trinity Hospice of Aiken and Augusta caring for patients. Mrs. Chadwick loved spending time in her garden, cooking, walking, and traveling with her beloved husband and sweetheart of 49 years, Joseph R. Chadwick. She will be fondly remembered as a beloved wife, a great sister and a friend to many. Mrs. Chadwick had a servant’s heart and extended her love to everyone she met. In turn, she received an overwhelming gift of love while suffering with a kidney disease in the form of two kidney transplants. The family of Mrs. Chadwick would like to express immense gratitude to the donor’s family for this act of kindness and generosity. Mrs. Chadwick was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret Burns and her mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Helen Chadwick. In addition to her husband, survivors include three sisters, Sharon (Paul) Aristoff of Ft. Collins, CO, Marge (Robert) Mitchell of Aiken, SC, Donna (Joseph) Gargano, Bridgeville, DE; a sister-in-law Claire (Chip) Blalock of Live Oak, FL; a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
