North Augusta, SC—Funeral services for Ms. Martha “Marty” Manders Schultz, 62, of Skyview Drive, North Augusta, SC, who was united with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 21, 2008, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Roger Wheeler officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Ms. Schultz was a lifelong resident of North Augusta, a graduate of North Augusta Senior High School Class of 1963, a graduate of the University Hospital School of Nursing where she received her RN Degree and worked for 40 years in the area of Home Care Nursing. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and an avid bridge player. Marty was the daughter of the late John and Martha Manders, sister of the late Patricia Manders, Theron Manders and Leroy Manders, grandmother of the late Brandon Schultz and her best friend, the late Brenda Ferrando. Most importantly she was born again in December of l976. Her faith was evident by her acceptance, forgiveness and kindness towards others, no matter who they were. All that knew her were touched by her compassion, warmth, selfless spirit and her ever present smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughters and a son-in-law, Leslie Ford, North Augusta and Linda and Billy Crouch, Summerville, SC; her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Michelle Schultz, Newnan, GA; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Goldman, North Augusta; three brothers, John Manders, Savannah, GA, Joseph Manders, Dunwoody, GA and Will Manders, East Point, GA; a lifelong friend and cousin, Barbara Kirven and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Jesse Goldman, Jr., Mark Manders, David Manders, Jamie Manders, Andy Manders, Cameron Bell, Lawton Johnson and James Johnson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening from 7 to 9.
