Ruby Jayne Wallace

North Augusta, SC- Ruby Jayne Wallace, a servant of Christ, died peacefully on July 14, 2024. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22nd, at 11 o’clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Sterling officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Mrs. Wallace was born on August 7, 1930, to a farming family in southern Ohio where she learned the value of hard work and family. Following her formal education, she excelled in a banking career. She met her future sister-in—law while working at Commercial Credit Bank and was subsequently introduced to the love of her life, Sid Wallace. Ruby dedicated her life to serving others as she was involved in many ministries at Curtis Baptist Church where she was a member for over 40 years. Her faith and humility were evident to those that she served. Her testimony was by example. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Estelle Alexander “Sid” Wallace; two sisters, Cynthia Creamer and Pauline Lewis; five brothers, Robert Jayne, Rollie Jayne, Charles Jayne, Hobert Jayne, and Hubert Jayne. Surviving members left to cherish her memory include her son, Timothy (Margaret) Wallace; two daughters, Lou Ann (Curt) Watke and Susan (Jason) Wallace; 11 grandchildren, Tim (Megan) Wallace, Anthony (Catherine) Wallace, Michael Watke, Matthew Watke, Mark Watke, Thomas Wallace, Kathryn (Daniel) Quezada, Simeon Wallace, Elizabeth Wallace, Mary Lois Wallace and Sarah Wallace; 7 great-grandchildren, Caver Jayne, Cannon, Worth, Cate, Daniel, Lydia and Caleb; a sister, Ella Cuesta. Pallbearers will be Ruby’s grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Curtis Baptist Church, 1348 Broad Street, Augusta, GA 30901. Ruby lived by her unyielding testimony. “For God so loved the world that whoever believes in him shall not perish.” She led her life at the foot of the cross and was faithful till her last breath. “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta is in charge of arrangements (803) 278-1181.
