Trevor Annette Martin Baker

Trevor Annette Martin Baker, died on April 26, 2021, at the age of 79, after a long, heart-breaking period of physical and mental decline inflicted on her by Alzheimer’s disease. She was preceded in death by her parents Wm Herbert Martin and Ruth Scott Martin; her siblings Venice Martin Shrimp and Carroll Erskel Martin and her in-laws LeRoy and Minnie Lee Baker. Originally from Abbeville, South Carolina, Trevor is survived by her faithful husband of 63 years Charles Lindsay Baker; her children Lynn (Frank) Dempsey and Marty (Patty) Baker; her grandchildren Morgan (Chris) Brookhart, Stuart Baker, Sarah (Drew) Landrum, Meredith (Chris) Mayer, Frank Baker Dempsey and Samuel Baker; her great-grandchildren Summit, Finley, Forrest, Luke, Sheppard and those great-grandchildren yet to be born. She is also survived by her brother Gerald (Patricia) Martin, her brother and sister-in-laws: Jennille, Harold, Miriam, Jimmy, Wesley, Mary Sue, Rachel, Mary, Darrel, Juanita, Russell, Frankie and Sandy. Trevor had a generous spirit, a sincere love of family and she touched countless lives with her gift of hospitality…always the first one to cook a meal for someone in need or host a church social at her home. In her career, Trevor was a business leader and district manager for MetLife Insurance and an auditor for A&P Grocery Stores in the Southeast. She received countless awards and commendations during her years of service. Trevor was a committed believer in Jesus Christ and in her lifetime, she used her gifts to volunteer at the Abbeville Pentecostal Holiness Church and Rice Memorial Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. She loved to travel and enjoy a good meal especially if dessert was included. She enjoyed her retirement years until she was stricken with Alzheimer’s in 2007. Her husband, Lindsay, was by her side every day as she fought this dreaded disease. The family has a deep appreciation for every care-giver at Affinis Hospice and Augusta Gardens Senior Living and Memory Care facility where she lived. Today, we grieve her passing, but we are comforted by the fact that she has been completely healed and is in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The funeral service for Trevor Baker will be held at Stevens Creek Church in Augusta, Georgia on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Marty Baker will be leading the funeral service. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. She will be buried at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia following the service.
