Edward Weaver

North Augusta, SC – Graveside Services for Mr. Edward Weaver, 92, who entered into rest October 16, 2021, will be conducted Thursday at 12 noon in Beaufort National Cemetery with Veteran Honors. Mr. Weaver was a native of Brighton, CO, having made North Augusta, SC his home for the past 37 years. He was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Korean War. During his service, Mr. Weaver served as a paratrooper with over 53 jumps and was qualified as a Jumpmaster. Mr. Weaver was a proud American who loved his country and his family. He especially adored his late wife and sweetheart, Helen, who he cared for until her death. Mr. Weaver truly had a servant’s heart and loved to help others. He looked for every opportunity to spend time with his family and spent countless hours preparing his pool for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to enjoy. Mr. Weaver relished in the simple things of life, looking forward to his time at the beach and shrimping in Beaufort. He will be fondly remembered for cooking breakfast, enjoying a cup of coffee and sipping on his “5 o’clock tea.” In addition to his wife, Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by seven sisters. Survivors include two sons, David (Tracey) Futral, Tim Futral; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta is in charge of arrangements (803)278-1181.
