Florence Reed Keenan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Augusta, GA – Funeral Services for Mrs. Florence Reed Keenan, 81, who entered into rest May 18, 2022, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o’clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel, Fr. David L. Arnoldt officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Keenan was born May 7, 1941, in Ocilla, GA to the late Henry and Irma and Reed. Having been named for Florence Nightingale, she lived a life of service in the nursing profession. Mrs. Keenan was the director of North Augusta youth soccer program. She received the Pioneer Award from the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association. Mrs. Keenan was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and was an active member AMBUCS. In addition to her parents Mrs. Keenan was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Keenan, Jr.; a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Keenan. Survivors include two sons, William F. Keenan, III (Melissa) and Christopher Keenan (Aubre); four grandchildren, Liam, Gavin, Jack and Lilah Grace; significant other, Rodney Mangum. Pallbearers will be Gavin Keenan, Liam Keenan, Jack Keenan, Patrick Hatch, Bryan Hatch and Phonepasong “Pop” Arounleut. A vigil service will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock with visitation following until 5 PM.
