Edgefield, SC—Mr. George A. Bryant, 81, answered God’s call to his heavenly home January 24, 2022. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday morning at 11:30 in Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Skip Meyer and Rev. Eric Bruton officiating. Interment in the church cemetery with Veteran Honors. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 o’clock until the time of the service. For those who are unable to attend, the Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Posey Funeral Directors Facebook page. Mr. Bryant was a native of Pineville, LA, a former resident of Aiken County, having made Edgefield his home for the past 37 years. He was an asset of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Herbert Bunch Growth Group, the Gideons International and former member and past president of the Belvedere Bass Busters. Mr. Bryant was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was co-owner of Palmetto Overhead Door. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer F. Bryant and Texie Mae Lemmons Bryant. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Bryant; four sons, George A. “Chip” (Lynn) Bryant, Jr., Graniteville, SC, Joe Clay (Joy) Bryant, Edgefield County, SC; Scott (Christy) Bryant, Aiken, SC and David Hale (Misty) Bryant, Clinton, SC; eleven grandchildren, Will Bryant, Summer (Jahmeil) Jackson, Madison Bryant, Seth (Lacey) Bryant, Samantha Bryant, Haley (Hunter) Evans, Sam Bryant, Cooper Bryant, Colton Bryant, Alex Bryant and Josh Bryant. Pallbearers will be Clay Bryant, Will Bryant, Seth Bryant, Sam Bryant, Cooper Bryant, Colton Bryant, Alex Bryant, Josh Bryant and Clay Davis.
