Betty Worrall Hamilton

North Augusta, SC – Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Worrall Hamilton, 87, who entered into rest May 29, 2023, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Posey Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joe Bedgood officiating. The interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. Mrs. Hamilton was born September 2, 1935, to the late David Morgan Worrall and Louise Greene Worrall. She was a lifelong resident of North Augusta and a graduate of North Augusta High School. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta, where she served as a children’s Sunday school teacher, kindergarten teacher and was a member of the Sanctuary Choir. She also worked for many years as a sales associate with J.B. White and Belk. Mrs. Hamilton found her niche in her career fitting women’s lingerie for survivors of breast cancer. Helping these women in their post-surgery accommodations brought her immense joy. Following her retirement, she continued her service to the community while working for Parks Pharmacy. She had a true Christ-like love for others, seeking every opportunity to uplift those in need. Mrs. Hamilton was known as the “Card Lady,” often sending cards to friends and family to celebrate life’s important milestones or to offer a kind word during a difficult time. Mrs. Hamilton will also be fondly remembered for her cake baking skills. She enjoyed serving others by sharing her baking talents with those she loved, with her red velvet cake being her signature recipe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Theodore Hamilton, Sr; a brother, Jimmy Worrall; and a sister, Joyce Worrall Corbin. Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include a son, Francis Theodore Hamilton, Jr.; a daughter, Pamela Hamilton Wade (Terry); six grandchildren, Hannah Hamilton Mabry (Terrance), James Hamilton Wade (Kayla), Ashleigh Hamilton Griffin (Dustin), Carleigh Hamilton, Juliana Wade Carr (Jesse), Jonathan Winslow Wade; three great-grandchildren, Cooper Grace Mabry, T.J. Mabry, and George Oliver Hamilton; a sister, Louise Worrall Hollins; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Buck, Alan Buck, Terrance Mabry, Dustin Griffin, Jesse Carr, and Ray May, Jr.
