Harriett Evans Lynn

North Augusta, SC – Memorial Services for Mrs. Harriett Evans Lynn, 93, who entered into rest February 8, 2023, will be conducted Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11 o’clock from Grace United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. Cathy Jamieson and Rev. Dr. John Newell officiating. The family will receive friends in the Wesley Center following the service. Mrs. Lynn, beloved wife of the late Sheridan Lee Lynn, Sr. was born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina on June 21, 1929 to the late Clarence Felder Evans and Willie Mae Joyner. She graduated from Elloree High School and received an RN from Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina in 1949. Mrs. Lynn gave 45 years of her life to the nursing profession for which she took great pride. She spent the final 25 years of her career working at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. She received several accolades for her work. Along with her life as a professional nurse, the joys of her life were her children and her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and loved being at home preparing food for her family and friends. Growing God’s plants and flowers was also favorite hobby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sheridan Lee Lynn; two brothers, Clarence F. Evans, Jr. and William F. Evans. Mrs. Lynn is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Anne Menk (Benjamin Johnson III), Augusta, Ga, three sons, The Honorable Judge Sheridan Lee “Danny” Lynn, Jr. (Pattie), North Augusta, SC, Patrick Evans “Pat” Lynn (Kathy), North Augusta, SC and Keith Allen Lynn (Ginger), Johnston, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Kevin and Jackie Lynn, Jason and Rebecca Lynn, Clinton and Rachel Morgan, Casey Lynn, Peter and Lauren Menk, III, Kate and Chris Spruill, Patrick Lynn, Garrett and Ariel Lynn, Victoria and DJ Meisinger and Elizabeth Lynn; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Edith Davis and the extended Hannan family.
