Augusta, GA—Funeral Services for Mr. T.W. Street, 90, who entered into rest November 25, 2013, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Dr. Cletus Lynch officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Veterans Honors. Mr. Street was a native of McDuffie County, having made Augusta his home for the past 45 years. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where he taught the Men’s Sunday School Class for over 20 years. Mr. Street was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of WWII and a member of Woodman of the World, where he was voted Woodman of the Year. He retired from the McDuffie County Progress, owned Commercial Printing Company in Toccoa, Georgia and the Cuthbert Times in Cuthbert, Georgia. Mr. Street enjoyed woodworking, drawing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Katherine Street; two brothers, Robert Street and Calvin Street; four sisters, Martha Bailey, Dorothy Street, Barbara Johnson and Sara Burnette. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Carroll Ray, North Augusta, SC; four grandchildren, Carroll Ray, II, Ginger Hendricks (Sam), Marty Ray (Teena), and Michael Ray (Kim); nine great-grandchildren, Owen McKagen, II, Christopher McKagen, Lee McKagen, Michael Ray, II, Lauren Ray, Mitchell Ray, Kenny Ray, Camryn Ray and Emily Ray; a brother, Eugene Street (Dixie), Dearing, GA; a sister, Margie Reid, Athens, GA; a sister-in-law, Louse Quarles, Augusta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Men’s Sunday School Class and Barry Adams, Carroll Ray, II, Christopher McKagen and Lee McKagen.. Active Pallbearers will be Michael Ray, Marty Ray, Sam Hendricks, Owen McKagen, II, Michael Ray, II and Mitchell Ray.
