Donald "Don" G. Adams

Donald “Don” G. Adams, 76, of Jackson, South Carolina, passed away on September 9, 2026. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday morning, September 19th, at 10 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jody Robinson and Pastor Jackie Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Historic First Baptist Church of Beech Island Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, September 18th, from 6 until 8 o’clock. Don was born April 29, 1950, to the late Joseph Frank Adams and Ollie Mae Rector Adams. A lifelong resident of Jackson, Don was a proud graduate of Jackson High School and then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he earned an Associate degree. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Don owned and operated several businesses throughout his life, including Don Adams Builders, Adams Supply, and Adams Brothers Properties. Through his work, he built not only businesses, but lasting relationships and a legacy within the community he called home. Don was an avid outdoorsman, and there was perhaps no place where he felt more at peace than outside in God’s creation. He loved hunting and could proudly boast of many memorable trophies and adventures. Don also found great satisfaction in spending countless hours on his tractor, caring for and improving the land that he loved. Those who knew Don will remember him for his determined personality, strong will, and immense generosity. He was a man who worked hard, pursued what he believed in, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His generosity extended far beyond material things; he freely gave his time, knowledge, friendship, and support to those around him. Above all else, Don treasured his family, particularly his wife, children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Adams. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Connie Gravette Adams; his children, Tammy Adams Westafer and Randy Adams (Rachel); a brother, Joe Adams (Debbie); a sister, Janet Culver (Jim); and his beloved grandchildren, Tess Elizabeth Westafer, Donald William “Will” Adams, and Brooke Elaine Adams. Pallbearers will be Donald Culver, Frank Adams, J.P. Adams, and Will Adams.
