Lois Maney

Lois Maney, 88, of Jackson, SC, entered into rest August 15, 2026. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning, August 20th, at 11 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bobby Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, August 19th, from 6 until 8 o’clock. Lois was born in Cherokee County, NC, to the late Willis Fulton Newman and Charlotte Gibson Newman. She was raised in Copperhill, TN, before making Beech Island, SC her home in 1956. She spent the remainder of her life there, building a home filled with love, faith, family, and countless cherished memories. Lois retired from K-Mart, where she worked as a sales associate for 25 years. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who took great pride in her work and in the relationships she formed with those around her. In her younger years, Lois enjoyed camping with her family and treasured the time spent together making memories. She was also a wonderful cook and was well known for her delicious recipes. An avid Atlanta Braves fan, she enjoyed following her beloved team whenever she could. Above all, Lois adored her family. She loved people and could carry on a good conversation with anyone. Her contagious smile and joyous countenance brightened the lives of those around her. She will be remembered for her warm and welcoming spirit and unwavering faith. She was a true follower of Jesus Christ and lived with the assurance that her eternal home was secure. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband Gold Herbert Maney; a daughter, Charlotte Maney; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Maney; and each of her eleven brothers and sisters. Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her children, Sharon Fulton (Bobby), Kim Maney, and Dale Maney; her grandchildren, Sean Fulton (Mandee), Brent Fulton (Meredith), Mary McLane (Josh), Jeremey Maney (Ashley), and Julia Murray (Scott); nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Sean Fulton, Brent Fulton, Jeremey Maney, Kenny Wall, Eddie Wall, and Kyler Murray.
